I wore one to Smokey's 70th b-day a year ago... prior to that was more than a decade ago, but I'd love to have an excuse.
“ I really enjoyed the variety of personalities and professions of the group - everyone was fun, intelligent and open to meeting others. I look forward to the next event! ”
“ Nice cross-section of people who are all passionate about wine! ”
“ $25 felt a little steep for the event, given that I understand that other speed dating events have to pay an organizer to sit and tally all of the feedback from the participants, and then give out contact info to the people who chose to make contact. The "pressure" of having to decide on the spot whether to give out contact info and how to bring that up in the 30 seconds or so warning that we had was tough... Maybe something to consider for the next time? I've never been to a speed dating event, but friends have said that they enjoyed it, so I was psyched to give it a try! 8 completely different conversations with 8 different guys, and 3 emails/phone #s to show for it! ”
“ Lots of fun people who share food and wine as a primary interest, but find that they also have more in common. ”
